ANSS foundation day to be held in Udalguri

UDALGURI, Dec 31: The 42nd foundation day of Asam Nepali Sahitya Sabha will be held at Golmagaon High School on January 4. The programme will begin with the hoisting of flag, followed by smiti tarpan, and day–long literary and cultural programmes. Earlier it was scheduled to be a two day–long programme but due to the recent violence in the region, the annual conference and other programmes have been postponed by the ANSS central committee. The second day’s programme was cancelled in protest against the recentkillings, stated reception committee general secretary Ramesh Dahal in a press release.
