All Assam Prize Money Marathon held

DIBRUGARH, JANUARY 5: The All Assam Prize Money Marathon organized by Milan Jyoti Sangha as part of its Golden Jubilee Year celebration saw athletes run from Milan gar to Kotoha and back on Sunday. Mubarak Hussain of Kamrup won the race while Sanjay Bhumij of Margherita took the second position and Ratan Orang of Sessa the third. Sanjit Xalxo of Madarkhat, Rafiqul Islam of Morigaon, Parag Kumar Deka of Morigaon and Bipul Saharia of Darang took the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh places. The last three places were secured by Debajit Xalxo of Senglijan, Manjit Oriya of Kherajan, Digboi, and Sanjib Bag of Senglijan, Lahoal. The first prize included cash award of Rs 14,000, while the second and third prizes included Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. The cash awards for next three position holders were Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000. An amount of Rs 1,000 was given to each of the last four winners.
