Training for agricultural officers concludes

JORHAT, Nov 18: A five-day training for agricultural officers ended with a valedictory session held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, at the Extension Education Institute of North Eastern Region at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat campus on Saturday.
The valedictory session was attended by Dr gen Bordoloi, Professor and Head of the Department of Extension Education, AAU, as the chief guest. Dr. Saikia congratulated the participating officers who had come from various north-eastern States to take part in the training on the topic ‘Magement games and interactive training tools’ through which they gained knowledge about magement tools.
Dr Pradip Neog, the Director of Extension Education Institute for NE Region, lauded their performance, which he said would give them work and also develop cordial relationship between agricultural workers for various types of farming, especially at a time when the Prime Minister of India, rendra Modi is trying to double the income of farmers and stressing on an organic revolution in the north-eastern region.
 Dr AK Bhattacharyya, the course director and Dr Sajib Borua, the course coorditor, spoke on the occasion. A total of 32 agricultural officers from the north-eastern States, including research scholars, participated in the training course which ended here on Saturday.
