CGM of Bongaigaon meets Jagdish Mukhi

Guwahati, May 25: Chief General Manager (In-Charge) of Bongaigaon Refinery GC Sikder, accompanied by B Hazarika, GM (HR) met Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi during his maiden visit to Dhaligaon in Chirang on Thursday at Deoshri House of BGR Township.

The visit of Assam Governor to Dhaligaon was a part of his scheduled visit to Chirang district of BTAD. During the meeting, Sikder handed over a folder of brief presentation on Bongaigaon Refinery to Mukhi and apprised him of the current status of the refinery operation, its physical and financial performance as well as the CSR initiatives of Bongaigaon Refinery in the vicinity of the refinery for socio-economic development.

The Assam Governor was also briefly apprised of the ongoing activities of Indmax and BS-VI projects, capacity expansion under the North East Vision Document-2030 including the current issues of the various local organizations and requested support and help from the State Government in implementing the above projects.

Mukhi was also enquiring about crude production in the North East region and crude being processed in BGR, which was briefly explained by Sikder.

During his visit, he also visited the BGR Higher Secondary School of BGR Township and the flagship CSR project of Bongaigaon Refinery. Appreciating the performance and activities of Bongaigaon Refinery, Mukhi assured of necessary help and support for the development of the refinery. This was stated in a press release.
