7th rank holder Romin Gogoi brings laurels to Demow

DEMOW/SIVASAGAR, May 31: Romin Gogoi, a student of Sivasagar Junior College, son of Jiba Kanta Gogoi and Hiranya Gogoi and a resident of Demow Kushal Path, brought laurels to Demow by securing the 7th place in the HS Science stream. Romin Gogoi obtained 474 marks with a percentage of 94.8 per cent. He secured 92 marks in English, 93 marks in Alternative English, 96 marks in Chemistry, 97 marks in Physics, 96 marks in Mathematics and 94 marks in Biology. Romin is the first student of Sivasagar Junior College to secure position and in Demow also he is the first student who secured position both in the HSLC and HS exams. In the year 2016, Romin had secured 11th position in the HSLC exam.

Talking to this correspondent, Romin Gogoi said he was very happy. He added that he did not have a fixed time table for studying, rather he studied whenever he found it suitable. Romin Gogoi will take admission in B.Sc with Major in Chemistry in Tezpur University. He wants to become a lecturer.
