Infrastructure for producing civil servants needed

Guwahati, June 1: The former Director of Indian Railways, Rabin Kalita who is presently serving as Advisor to the State’s Transport Department has urged Dispur to create enabling environment and infrastructure in order to produce more civil servants from the state. Kalita was addressing a group of civil service aspirants who are enrolled in the new batch of the ‘Mission-100’ tutorial initiated by Northeast-IAS on Friday in Guwahati.

Kalita observed that the state government should shoulder responsibility to establish regional and district level centres for competitive examination like Civil Services. While appreciating the ‘Mission-100’ initiative of the Northeast-IAS, Kalita said that it will encourage the deserving candidates of the state who are lacked by facilities as well as opportunities.

Addressing the gathering, the founder of Northeast-IAS, Keshav C Das said that to impart free civil service coaching classes to the students of Assam, the institute is expanding its classes towards 16 districts of the state.
