| 23 dead, millions affected in natural calamity in Arunachal |

ITANAGAR, Sept 29: At least 23 people were killed and a million people affected in 2,588 villages spread over 17 districts mainly due to natural calamities, in particular two floods since June in Arunachal Pradesh, which also left a trail of devastation in agriculture, power and surface communication chiefly, said the State government today.

| Austerity measures for financial discipline, foreign tours banned |
