From our Correspondent Itanagar, June 23: Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering embarked on a tour to Mer, Gadum and Namsing villages under Mebo sub-division in East Siang district on Thursday to oversee the progress of development projects being carried out by PWD and RWD.While addressing the villagers, Ering said that considering all the programmes undertaken by the UPA government to aid the poor sections especially the SC, ST and OBC communities, the government has given due priority on the development of the people, official sources informed. Regarding the road conditions throughout the State, the MP sought support and co-ordination of all to develop them. While emphasizing on maintaining quality and credibility of the works which have been sanctioned, he called upon the executing agencies to toe the line. In the meantime, the MP sanctioned Rs 7 lakh for community hall at Namsing, Rs 5 lakh for a welcome gate and flood protection works at Gadum and Rs 10 lakh at Mer to protect the village from the onslaught of mighty Siang River, sources added.
