Itanagar, July 6: Lok Sabha member, Ninong Ering met Union Minister of Water Resources, Pawan Bansal and his deputy, Vincent H Pala to apprise them of the heavy damages caused by the recent floods in the State. During a meeting on Thursday in Delhi, the MP informed the ministers that many parts of the State are hit by flood like situation with disruption of road communication to many districts, official sources said here on Friday.
He informed the ministers of the prevailing flood situation in the districts of Lohit, Changlang, Dibang Valley, Upper Siang,River Siang and Anjaw.
He also appraised them of unabated erosion that is continuing in upstream and downstream of the anti-erosion work project in Bordumsa, sources added. |
