From our Correspondent SILCHAR, Aug 3: The Viswavidyalaya Suraksha Samiti of Irongmara condemned the allegations of Rupam Nandi Purkayastha, the advisor of All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) against the founder president of the students’ body. The statement released by the Suraksha Samiti alleged that Rupam was an agent and involved in various activities. According to the statement, Rupam has been working as an agent of ACKHSA, exploiting its good name for the sake of self-aggrandisement . Swapan Paul, member of the Viswavidyalaya Suraksha Samiti dared Rupam that if necessary he could show all the relevant documents as a proof to him. The Samiti also decried the statements of Rupam that the ACKHSA never had any Yuva Front. “If ACKHSA never had any Yuva Front, how the student body along with its youth wing had addressed a press meet jointly on August 24, 1994 on the demand of middle and higher education?,” asked the statement. The Samiti also asked Rupam to prove his allegations against Pradip Dutta Roy and Promod Srivastava, former general secretaries of ACKHSA. |
