SILCHAR, Aug 17: The National Service Scheme (NSS) of the Cachar College unit recently collected financial assistance from the students, teachers and non teaching staffs of the college to extend its help to the affected people of the BTAD area who took shelter in the different relief camps.
Around Rs 5855 was collected in two days. In the presence of Dr K Lakkitan Sinha, vice principal and Smriti Paul, in charge of the NSS, college unit, it has been decided that the money that had been collected would be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Ranjit Debnath, general secretary of the College Council, also extended all help for the cause.
Among the students who were present in the collection drive included Raja Dutta, Biswajit Khersa, Sahidul Alam Barbhuiya, Rahul Deb, Kartik Rabidas, Rubul Islam Chowdhury. |
