From our Correspondent SILCHAR, Feb 2: The convocation on ‘Evidence based Diabetic Management’ under the aegis of Public Health Foundation of India was recently held at NFDFI hall in Guwahati. The Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the assembly, the CM appreciated the ongoing new researches in the field of diabetics which, as he said, would be helpful for the patients in the near future. Dr K Srinath Reddy, president, Public Health Foundation of India and Dr Kulendra Pathak, former vice chancellor of Dibrugarh University was also present at the function. It was also the occasion to confer a degree to the successful doctors. Dr Jayanta Bhattacharjee, a doctor in Silchar Medical College and Hospital was bestowed with a certificate in recognition to his work in the field of diabetics. Jayanta Bhattacharjee is the son of Dr Jugendra Chandra Bhattacharjee, a well–known physician in Guwahati. |
