Guwahati Railway Station emerges as new transit point for ganja smuggling

GUWAHATI, April 17: The Guwahati Railway Station has become a transit point for smuggling of narcotic drugs and other contraband items in the State.

Railway sources stated that 5330.6 kg of ganja, many banned tablets and capsules were seized by the Railway Police from the Guwahati Railway Station from 2003 to till date.

GUWAHATI, April 17: A female student of the Down Town School of Nursing committed suicide at the institution’s hostel here on Wednesday. The deceased student was identified as Bashtsha Dhakar (21).
