GUWAHATI, July 22: The NE Railway Employees Union held a trackman conference here today to highlight the step-motherly attitude of the Administration towards the plight of the trackmans. In the meeting, the Union said it is vehemently pursuing its policy of communicating the resolutions adopted in this conference to the Railway Ministry and the Railway Board.
A ‘Trackman’ conference was also hosted at Hojai under the initiative of the Hojai Branch of NF Railway Employees Union where General Secretary of NF Railway, Munindra Saikia declared that if the Trackman Committee Report is not made public at the earliest by the Railway Board, the NF Railway Employees Union will resort to protest at a massive scale.
In the meeting, the Union made a clarion call to the administration for removing the grave anomalies existing in the present pay structure of the trackman and to revise it as per the prescriptions of the VIth pay commission. It further urged the administration to accept the suggestion put forth by the union in this connection. |
