GUWAHATI, Aug 12: All Assam Progressive Literature and Cultural Association held a meeting on restoration of peace, unity and brotherhood in the BTAD area here today. The meeting was presided over by litterateur and social activist Radha Bora with Karen Boro, ex-president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha as chief guest.  In the meeting, Boro said that all communities should work together to restore peace and harmony in the region. “There is a need for massive upheaval in the State. Instead of relying on political parties or political leaders, the citizens should fight for their own rights.” Boro said. Also present in the meeting were Pradip Kalita, the association president and Bhupen Sarma.
