ITANAGAR, April 30: The Arunachal State Badminton Association observed the first death anniversary of Dorjee Khandu at Raj Bhawan today in presence of all the members with great honour. Late Dorjee Khandu, the most popular and people’s friendly Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh was also the former president of Arunachal State Badminton Association and a big fan of Sports.

Late Khandu leaded the state not only politically but in every sector of the State in terms of development. Though Badminton is not a popular game here in the State, under his leadership, the sport touched a new height. He helped the Association to promote the sport among the youths with his charming leadership. But, his untimely demise in a tragic accident deprived the Association from his service as well his wish to boost the sport. Members of the Association paid homage to the departed soul at the Raj Bhawan Badminton Hall on his first death anniversary and conveyed heartiest condolence to the family of late Khandu.
