GTC beat Rising

N N Bhattacharya Football begins

GUWAHATI, July 3: Gauhati Town Club defeated Rising XI Club by a solitary goal in the opening match of the eighth edition of N N Bhattacharya Football tournament at Nehru Stadium today. The only goal of the match was scored by Ananda Singh in 19th minute. Now they will play againt defending champion ASEB SC on July 9. Tomorrow Super division team Navajyoti Club will face A division team Maharana AC.

Premier Agro Bio-Tech is sponsoring the Guwahati Sports Association organized tournament for the first time where 14 clubs of the city is participating. The title clash will held on July 16.
