GUWAHATI, July 6 : GSA B division team Kamrupa FC thrashed Abutani SC by 4-2 in the N N Bhattacharya Football tournament at Nehru Stadium today. They performed some attacking football specially in the second half after the first half ended with 1-1. Santul Rabha opened their account in the 22nd minute of the match which was equalized by Henry through a penalty in 31st minute.

Kamrupa created some good attacks from midfield right from the beginning of the second half. Result came soon as Anitya Rabha gave his team again in lead in 53rd minute. Seven minutes later, Abutani got another penalty due to the foul of goalkeeper Bhaskar Rabha which was successful netted by Henry again.

At that time the match was evenly poised. But in the later part of second half, Kamrupa created back to back attacks. Finally they got a penalty in 80th minute due to the hand-ball of Limboo in the box. Santul Rabha scored his second goal and gave his team in lead again. Rudra Boro scored the fourth by a left-footer in 84th minute and ensure his team’s win. Now Kamrupa will play against AP Blues in the quarter final on July 11.

Tomorrow FCI SC will face Green Valley SC.
