GUWAHATI, Jan 7: Brahmaputra Boys Club defeated City Cricket Club by 4 wickets in the Ramesh Barooah Invitational Cricket tour nament, organized by Gauhati Town Club, at Judges’ Field on Monday.
Winning the toss and batting first, City CC managed 180 in 39.1 overs losing 9 wickets. Amzad Ali scored 58 off 57 balls. Imdadul Saikia and Harmit Singh contributed 23 and 21 respectively. Gitartha Devsarma claimed 3 wickets for 31 while Allmizur Zaman and Ajay Talukdar took 2 wickets each.
Brahmaputra Boys Club reashed the target in 39 overs losing 6 wickets. Subham Jha was the top scorer with 43 off 66 balls while Pranab Das struck 40. Gitartha Devsarma made 39 in 29 balls. Imdanur Saikia and Debasish Saikia took 2 wickets each.
Navajyoti Club will take on Santipur AC on Wednesday. |
