GUWAHATI, July 6: State Assembly Speaker Pranab Kumar Gogoi has given permission to the police to investigate into what happened in North Karimganj MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purakayastha's MLA hostel room here on Thursday night. Purakayastha on Friday filed an FIR against party MLA Rumi Nath alleging that she along with her second husband had illegally entered his hostel room and beat up three visitors suspecting them to be involved in the attack on the couple last week. On the basis of Rumi Nath’s complaint, police arrested the three visitors on Thursday night but they were granted bail by the Court on Friday.
