Reports said, the taxi driver in a private car bearing No-AS01-AZ-2001 while coming back to Rangia hit a barricade installed by villagers meant particularly for night surveillance duty at Gosaigaon village under Kaurbagha police station. It was alleged that driver suddenly opened fire on the surveillance team and managed to escape under the cover of darkness. The angry villagers set the Tata Nano on fire.
