GUWAHATI, Aug 25: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said the illegal immigration from Bangladesh into Assam and other parts of the country should be stopped to keep the law and order situation in the country peaceful. Interacting with media persons here today, RSS’s all India spokesperson Ram Madhav said a section of illegal immigrants in the country was involved in triggering the mass exodus of the northeastern people from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. “Illegal immigration from Bangladesh is not only a threat to Assam but also a threat to the whole country. If illegal immigration is not stopped, more such incidents will occur in future,” Madhav said.
