GUWAHATI, Aug 28: The CPI(M) Assam State Committee has condemned the bandh enforced by organizations like Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the United Movement for People’s Rights, which have brought life to a halt in the State since yesterday. While addressing the media today, the CPI (M) State general secretary Uddhav Barman said that such organizations are forerunners in instigating communal clashes in the State. He said that the bandh calls will only aggravate the turmoil in the State instead of solving any problems. He called upon the people of the State to stand up and oppose such bandhs and not to give any opportunity to these disruptive forces to break the peace and harmony in the State.
