GUWAHATI, Sep 5: The members of the All Assam Venture High School Teachers Association staged a protest near the Six Mile flyover here on Wednesday for their various demands. The Association members demanded full-fledged provincialisation of the venture schools in the State. “Though the bill relating to the venture schools in the State was passed in the Assembly in July 2011, it has several flaws. We demand correction of these flaws in the bill by another amendment,” stated the Association. The Association also demanded provincialisation of the posts of teachers and employees working in the venture schools of the State. “The amount of financial grant provided to the venture schools established since 2005-06 should be doubled till the provincialisation of these schools is completed,” stated the Association. The Association further demanded financial help for the development of infrastructure of the venture schools in the State.
