SHILLONG, July 21: Hundreds of students of Arunachal under the banner of the Arunachal Students’ Union, Shillong (ASUS) on Saturday took out a rally in protest against the attack on Tongam Rina, the editor of Arunachal Times. The rally which started from the Indo-Tibetan border Police (ITBP) headquarters near Rhino point ended at the Arunachal Bhavan at Cleve Colony. The protestors were seen carrying placards which read- “Justice for Tongam Rina”, “Our pen will not run out of ink, you will run out of bullets”, “Guns and bullets can’t defeat our pen”. In the rally, members of the Shillong Press Club later joined the procession to show their solidarity with Tongam Rina. “The government must hand over the case to the CBI to probe the Tongam Rina shoot out case,” ASUS president Nilly Likha Tado said.
