From a Correspondent SHILLONG, Aug 3: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along with the State Police on Thursday apprehended a phensedyl smuggler, Zakir Hussain (32), of Mankachar, in Assam’s Dhubri district. According to the BSF, acting on specific information, the border guards with the help of the personnel of the Meghalaya Police outpost of Gasuapara, South Garo Hills district, raided the house of one Hera Mandal and apprehended the smuggler. Around 165 bottles of phensedyl worth Rs 33,000, 47 bottles of liquor worth Rs 5,600 and a mobile phone with two SIM cards were seized. These items were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
