Hyderabad, June 1: A special court here on Friday dismissed MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s bail petition in the disproportionate assets case.
The CBI court, which had reserved its orders Thursday, pronounced the verdict on Friday evening.
Jagan’s counsel had sought interim bail at least till June 10 so that he can campaign for June 12 by-election to one Lok Sabha and 18 assembly seats.
The YSR Congress Party leader was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on May 27. The next day the court sent him to judicial custody till June 11. (IANS) |
