MUMBAI, June 28: Fans of thespian Dilip Kumar are sure to rejoice at hearing this piece of news. It seems that a coffee table book talking about the life of veteran actor Dilip Kumar will be launched on December 11 this year, which marks the birthday of Bollywood’s Devdas. The book, which has been written by journalist Uday Tarra Nayar and supervised by yesteryear actress and Kumar’s wife Saira Banu, will reportedly trace Dilip Kumar’s journey from the time he came to Mumbai as Yusuf Khan and will also have rare photographs of the actor’s friends and family. Confirming the news, Saira Banu said, “So many writers had approaches us for an opportunity to write a book on Dilip Kumar. We chose Uday tarra because she is a family member and Dilip saab has known her since a long time.” Incidentally, the former actress is also said to be working on another biography based on Dilip Kumar’s life, which would be launched in 2013.
