NORTH LAKHIMPUR, May 13: The biennial session of Lakhimpur Zila Karmachari parishad, along with the 23rd biennial session of Laluk Anchalik Karmachari parishad held at Hurmutty Higher-Secondary school on May 11 and May 12 respectively concluded yesterday.

Like the other programmes, the open session was held on May 12 at 2 pm with Chandra Phukan in the chair. Addressing on the occasion,chief guest Basab Kalita, president SAKP said that the employees are the backbone of a country. All kinds of employees are equal. Nagen Das, Secretary of SAKP on the other hand said that all sections of employees would get their facilities as per norms. He also announced that sit-in demonstration to be taken out on May 16 at Dispur lastgate by the SAKP.

Dipak Dutta, principal, released the souvenir “Hiramoti” on the occasion. In the meet, Lokeswar Gogoi and Naren Kalita was elected as the president and secretary for the Zila Karmachari Parishad for the next two years. The meeting was also attended by ADC Binit Saikia, Ex-MP Moni Kumar Subba and Bhupen Bora.
