Jorhat, Sept 13: The Jorhat district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) nabbed eleven suspected Bangladeshis here today. Following a tip off, the AJYCP committee members caught one woman along with her child near Crescent Academy, Jorhat and handed her over to the Jorhat border police. The women had allegedly failed to state her proper address when asked about her residence.
Earlier the AJYCP also nabbed six suspected persons working at a dam near Holi Kids School, near old Circuit House.
The committee also handed them over to the border police. Later in the evening, the AJYCP caught four suspected children near Garamur.
The suspected children were nabbed from their work site and were handed over to the Garamur police. The AJYCP had also lodged an FIR against the owner of NECON where the children were working.
