Flood situation worsens in Darrang

MANGALDAI, June 28: Incessant rainfall has led to worsening of the flood situation in Darrang district triggering fresh inundation.

The swollen Brahmaputra river breached more than five dykes and embankments affecting 82 villages and rendering at least 54,300 villagers homeless.
