Three Nagaon students stand prominently in HSLC results

NAGAON, June 15: Three students of Nagaon district have carried laurels to the district by their outstanding performance in the HSLC examinations results of which have been announced today. Rikhya Gogoi of Christjyoti School, Nagaon secured the ninth position with total marks of 559 while Bhaswata Saikia of Government Boys’ HS School and Jagriti Bora of Christjyoti School, Dhing have secured the tenth position jointly by obtaining 558 marks each. It may be mentioned here that a total of 16,706 candidates appeared in the HSLC examination this year in Nagaon district. Out of them, 11,911 candidates have come out successful and the pass percentage is 71.3 per cent. The numbers of the students passed, division wise are first division - 2,000, second division-45,592 and third division- 5,319. On the other hand, out of 637 students who appeared in the High Madrassa examination in Nagaon district, 378 students came out successfull. Of them, 12 obtained first division, 140 obtained second division and 226 third division.
