| Two children die of drowning |

JORHAT, June 23: Two children met with watery grave in Meleng under Lahdoigarh PS in Jorhat district when they were washed away by the rising waters of the Meleng river recently. Their bodies could be recovered in the evening. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area. In Teok circle, the rising waters of the Mudoijan, Puthinadi and Meleng rivers have submerged many areas where a large number of dwelling houses are also inundated by the floods. |
