From our correspondent Nalbari, July 17: Nalbari District Students’ Union on Tuesday felicitated the students who secured above 80 per cent in the last HS and HSLC examination. The students who got star and distinction marks were given books and a citation. While inaugurating the meeting, Dr Akhil Kumar Medhi, the Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University said that without facing any challenges , a man cannot attain success . A student should always set a definite aim in their mind and then success will come easily . He called upon the students to become a good men in the society. He also urged the students in general to read books in order to acquire more knowledge. Sankar Prasad Roy , President of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) asked the students community to contribute for the welfare of the society being good citizens . He also urged the students to fight against corruption for betterment of the society . Lalit Chandra Gogoi , Deputy Commissioner, Nalbari said, nothing is difficult for those students who have aims in their mind and ability to face challenges. Purna Deka , the Sports Secretary of AASU , Samiran Baishya , the executive member of AASU also delivered their speeches. |
