From our Correspondent NALBARI, July 21: As many as 25 activists of NSUI hailing from Nalbari district resigned from the organization causing a new turn in NSUI, a report available here added. According to the report, a formal meeting was held at Nalbari College students’ common room attended by NSUI activists yesterday. In the meeting, they decided to resign from National Students’ Union of India, State Committee following ill treatment by Partha Pratim Bora, the state president of NSUI, to a section of NSUI activists of Nalbari district in Guwahati. Sources added that serious concern has been prevailing in Nalbari NSUI following the appointment of one Deb Prakash Bhagawati, as the president of Nalbari NSUI by Partha Pratim Bora, the state president. NSUI activists of Nalbari did not accept the new president as their leader. The matter of appointment of new president of district NSUI created a concern among the NSUI activists. Of course, the State Committee later denied the appointment of the new president. A section of NSUI activists hurriedly went to Guwahati on July 19 last to meet Navajit Singh, the state observer at Guwahati. But the Nalbari NSUI activists did not get proper response from the State Committee led by Partha Pratim Bora. Finding no proper justice from the state leader of NSUI, a large number NSUI activists resigned from the organization. Sensation prevailed in the NSUI of Nalbari particularly in the State in general. |
