CHAMATA, Aug 17: Nava Sanjeevanee, an NGO is mooting to organise a mass ‘Neem Plantation Drive’ in the schools of Assam targetting more than one lakh neem trees by this year. The voluntary association organized a mass neem tree plantation drive at Nowcha Junior College campus here today. They organized the plantation drive programme with the aim to start a green and disease free world. Principal of Nowcha Junior College Nagendra Nath Sarmah and Axom Xahitya Xabha central executive member Suprobha Medhi jointly inaugurated the programme. Nava Sanjeevanee president Gangajyoti Tayegam, educationist Deben Mahanta, Bipin Bora, Haren Sarmah and prominent writer Nityananda Senapati participated in the plantation programme.
