GOALPARA Jan 7: The North-East Goalpara District Nirman Shramik Santha’s (NSS) 12th Annual Conference was held in Padupara, Dhupdhara on Sunday. Around two hundred representatives from various parts of Goalpara district attended the conference that was organized in the Padupara Anchalik Madrassa High School play ground. After the delegates meet, an open session was held in the same venue where Lakhan Rabha, a veteran social worker, presided over. Senior CPI leader, comrade Soilen Das, comrade Upen Talukdar, State President NSS, comrade Phanidhar Das, State secretary NSS, delivered lecture highlighting various problems labour class facing in the State. The meeting also felicitated few meritorious students from Nirman Shramik families with cash awards. Renuka Rabha, Mahanta Boro and Pranab Nath received a cash of ten thousand, five thousand and five thousand respectively for their performances in the last HSLC exam.
