NALBARI, Feb 2: Venture Schools of Assam will be provincialized after three days of the results of the Panchayat Elections. As many as 1 lakh teachers will be benefited by this process which will cost Rs 2,000 crore, announced Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing an election rally organized by Barbhag Block Congress held at Kamar–Kuchi on February last. Dr Sarma said that congress has chalked out some programmes to bring about a glaring change in Assam. Some changes with specific aims in of State education sector have already been effected, he added. The Minister also mentioned about a new scheme for appointing 50,000 teachers in different educational institutions.
In addition to this, the Minister sincerely highlighted that Rs 3000 each will be deposited in the bank accounts of the guardians of poor students reading in secondary schools instead of giving bicycle, from this academic session. The scheme will be completed within March 10 next. Similarly, Rs 400 will be given for school uniform to the students. Dr Sarma also asserted that services of 102 Ambulance for common patients of Assam will be arranged after the month of Bohag. He also lambasted AGP and BJP saying they are not relevant for the people of Assam. |
