Trains service affected

 GUWAHATI, Aug 12: Incessant rains in West Bengal, Bihar and Assam have affected two NF Railway divisions – Alipurduar and Katihar – in the past twenty hours. Many rivers in Alupurduar are in spate and NF Railway is keeping a close watch on them, an NF Railway release said.

The affected areas in Alipurduar division are – Alipurduar Junction-New Coochbehar-Baxirhat section which, however, has been repaired and restored; New Alipurduar-Samuktala Road (repaired and restored); Gumani Hat – Falakata Section (repaired and restored); Falakata – Salbari (repaired and restored); New Alipurduar— Samuktala Up (trains suspended); New Coochbehar-MHBA Y Leg (trains suspended); Jalpaiguri-Haldibari Section (restored with speed restriction); Mukuria-Salmari section (repaired and restored), Aluabari-Thakurganj Section (repaired and restored), Panjipara-Kishanganj Section (repaired and restored), entire Jogbani Station Yard (trains suspended), Jogbani-Bathnaha section (trains suspended) and Jogbani station has been inundated (temporarily suspended), besides suspension of all trains from Bathnaha to Jogbani Station, the release said.
