Close shave for air passengers at Jorhat

JORHAT, Sept 12: At least 95 passengers on the Kolkata-Guwahati-Jorhat Jet Connect flight (no. 7048) had a close shave after their plane skidded off the runway at Rowriah Airport here on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the flight skidded off the runway after landing at around 1.45 pm and one of its rear wheels got stuck. No passenger was hurt in the incident. Indian Air Force cranes helped pull out the flight. Pravakar Mishra, Rowriah Airport Station Director of Airport Authority of India, blamed the incident on pilot's fault.
