KMSS demands flood relief measures

DEMOW, Aug12: Under Demow Circle Office in Panidehing, Thowra, Nitaipukhuri and Bokota mouzas, around 20 villages are under water due to incessant rain from the last few days.
Agricultural land in the four mouzas has been submerged. The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) Demow Regional Committee alleged that in Khamun Gaon in Bokota Mouza, some people are suffering from encephalitis. Under the leadership of Joyjyoti Konwar, president and Sanjay Prasad Sah, secretary of   Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), Demow Regional Committee, a memorandum was submitted to Demow Circle Officer on Saturday where they demanded that essential fodder for domestic animals and medical facilities for the flood-affected people should be provided soon.
