TINSUKIA, Aug 12: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday formally opened the new office building-cum-commercial complex of Tinsukia Municipality constructed at the cost of Rs 7.33 crore.
In his address, the Chief Minister, while urging the board members to work with sincerity and accountability for a better Tinsukia, hinted with strong words that corruption, if reported from any quarters, would be dealt with severely. They must fulfil the aspirations of Tinsukia denizens, the Chief Minister warned the municipal employees.
The construction of the building, which stated in 2012, took 7 years to complete with allegation of nexus between present and past municipal bodies.
