BJP raps Congress

GUWAHATI, Nov 13: Terming the ‘Nagalim’ issue as the outcome of successive Congress governments’ inept policies over the years, the BJP Assam Pradesh has said that the current visit of inter-state border areas by Congress leaders could be the final nail in the coffin.  All reserved forest areas along Assam-Nagaland border have been encroached upon by Nagaland due to weakness of the successive Congress governments in Assam, BJP leaders Rupam Goswami and Muminul Aowal said. “It was during Congress regime in Assam Nagaland opened two new sub-divisions – Kohebut and Newland. Assam ceded its Foot Hills in the Merapani areas to Nagaland when the Congress was in power in the State,” they said, and added: “The Congress should make the actual map of Nagaland public within a week.”
