NAGAON (HAIBORGAON), Nov 13: Amidst constant demand of various organizations, including AASU, AJYCP, Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parishad and others, for repair of proposed NH-37 four-lane road from Uriagaon bypass to Gatanga near Samaguri covering around 18.05 km, it was repaired by TK Engineers Pvt. Company within just two days.
Interestingly, the Highway Authority of India had given the work order to TK Engineers Pvt. Company to construct the proposed four-lane road from Uriagaon Chariali onwards Tezpur. But due to incessant rain and flow of heavy vehicles on the road, the entire portion was heavily damaged. Organizations like AASU, AJYCP and Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parishad had been demanding immediate repair of the portion of the road for a long time. But the Highway Authority of India as well as contractor paid no heed to this demand. Interestingly, all the stirs for repair of the road, TK Engineers Pvt. Company surprisingly repaired the road within two days.
