Interactive session held

DEMOW, Nov 13: Under the patronage of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO, and in association with the district administration, District Child Protection Committee (DCAC), there are around 280 adolescent groups in every gaon panchayat and tea estate under Demow Block Office and they are preparing for Children’s Day. On Sunday, an interactive session was held. The programme started with distribution of saplings where the adolescent groups distributed 1,000 saplings among the people. The interactive session was held in Demow Public Playground on the topic ‘Child Marriage, Child Labour and School Dropout’ where Abhijit Koch, District Consultant of DCAC, Mridul Barua, District Accountant of DCAC, Biki Borthakur, Block Monitor of DCAC, Ajay Gogoi, secretary of Demow Press Club, Nabanita Choudhuri Tasa, advocate as well as legal adviser of Sonapur Social Development Society, an NGO took part.
