Need for awareness generation on government schemes underscored

Tezpur, Nov 14: In a move to create awareness of Poverty Alleviation Scheme, District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Sonitpur organized a two-day long programme recently on Effective Implementation of Poverty Alleviation under NALSA Scheme and Right to Education and Free and Compulsory Education as per provision of Article 21 of the Constitution at Akabasti Gerenta , Balipara and Purana Baithabhanga LP School, Goroimari in Sonitpur district and nearly 100 people participated in the programme.
There are various welfare scheme and projects that are being launched and implemented by the government to provide better opportunity to the people and the objective of the programme was to make aware the people aware about the Poverty Alleviation Scheme being implemented by the government and to disseminate knowledge on Constitution Provision under Article 21 regarding right to education and free and compulsory education among the people.
The programme was attended by many dignitaries, including Audri Bhattacharjee, secretary, DLSA, Sonitpur, Diganta Goswami, Judicial Magistrate first class, Sporsita Garg, Judicial Magistrate first class, Jahnabi Saikia, Munsif-1, Tezpur, Abha Bora, advocate, Tezpur and Jaya Devi, Mahila Samiti Society, Tezpur.
Abha Bora, attending as resources person, stressed the need of awareness generation on various government schemes, their benefits and appealed to the people to take advantage of the schemes. Earlier, Audri Bhattacharjee and Diganata Goswami also spoke on the occasion and emphasized dissemination of knowledge.
In another programme at Purana Baithabhanga LP School, Goroimari, resources person Abha Borah delivered her speech on education and constitutional provision under Article 21 for free and compulsory education among the people. Audri Bhattacharjee and Diganta Goswami also interacted with the participants on the occasion.
