Get ready to address future challenges: Mishra to students

From our correspondent
Itanagar, March 8: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra has called on the students to ‘prepare’ for addressing the challenges of the future through entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The Governor was interacting with the students of Rajiv Gandhi University and National Institute of Technology, at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, an official release stated here on Thursday.
Continuing with his endeavour in reaching out to the students of higher and technical institutions of the State, Mishra had an interaction session on the topic ‘Prepare oneself towards entrepreneurship and self-employment’.
Mishra said the workforce is increasing in geometrical proportion but the jobs are increasing in arithmetical progression, which is causing a mismatch in the numbers of job seekers and jobs availability. The youth, therefore must prepare themselves to address the challenges of the future through entrepreneurship and self-employment, he asserted.
The Governor advised the youth to go for skill development and vocational trainings, while highlighting the key vocational training programmes undertaken by the government, including Craftsmen Training Scheme, Modular employable Skill based training programmes, National Rural Livelihoods Mission and National Urban Livelihood Mission, to name a few. Mishra also informed the youth regarding the subsidized loans provided by the government such as Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, Mahila e-Haat and Stand-up India scheme. The Governor also threw light on the sectors which have huge scope for development such as automotive, electronics system design and manufacturing, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and food processing.
