No trace of kidnapped NHIDCL engineer

Itanagar/ DIGBOI, Oct 11: The abducted National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) Engineer Devendra Kumar Sinha (58)  who was kidnapped on Sunday last from his rented house near ADC residence here at Bordumsa in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh is yet to be traced inspite of all out efforts made by  Arunachal Police in association with other security agencies.
Suspected ULFA (I) militants kidnapped NHIDCL Engineer Sinha, a resident engineer of the NHIDCL  from his rented house on Sunday evening, IGP (Law & Order) Nabin Payeng informed. The engineer is a resident of Bihar and had been living in the rented house for the past one month. “We are yet to establish the identity of the group but we suspect it to be the handiwork of ULFA (I),” a police official from the district said.
"We have not got any information about any extortion amount being demanded from him,” the official added.
Payeng said a case has been registered at Bordumsa police station and search operation is on to trace the whereabouts of the abducted engineer.
He said police had already informed the matter to the family members of the abducted engineer.
