Shillong gets 'fresh faces'

SHILLONG, Nov 14: Deiborme Lyngdoh and Natasha Wahlang were crowned as Mr Fresh Face 2017 and Miss Fresh Face 2017 respectively at Asian Confluence Habitat Hotel near Bethany Society at Laitumkhrah here on Saturday.
Besides the winners, five other contestants were selected and included in the top five list and will get an opportunity to feature in the Bhopal Fashion Week next year. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, organizer and director of Mr and Miss Fresh Face 2017 Nadarwell Mihsil said the top five will represent the State in the Bhopal Fashion Week. Besides, the two winners will be able to sign a contract where they will be getting a monthly salary until a new winner is crowned next year.
He said, “Five designers will also feature in the Bhopal Fashion Week and present their designs.”
Meanwhile, newly-crowned Mr Fresh Face Deiborme Lyngdoh said, “Being a village boy from Sahsniang village in Jaintia hills, it’s a great honour and opportunity for me to showcase my talent outside the State.” Lyngdoh said: “It was a dream come true for me and I feel proud to represent my State in Bhopal.”
