 The Eternal Rebellion

Dr. Bhupati Das

the mind blurs the vision
the thoughts elongate
to touch the distant horizon
the faraway hopes return home
the slow- burning ember of love
keeps the hearth smoking
muzzling the protesting cries
of the empty stomach

The Mirage
Dr. Bhupati Das

he sleep-walked
into the closing arms of the red rose
winking openly from a thorny branch
with the hidden intent lost in the sparkling treasures
the thorns behind pierced his craving heart
a painful blow on the crumbling self
what an exquisite picture but no flesh
the pale blood poured out from the unseen wound
he strode back to the lonely hearth
the new sunlight dazzled the empty smile
on the rose's lips

Dare
Dr. Bhupati Das

brave enough to defy
the midday summer heat
when even your shadow betrays you
to hide below your feeble feet
then challenge the sun

A Voice
Arindam Barooah

Of the halfway through,
I prick up my ears
from the meek light of the moon.
A musical bard,
illuminating mellifluous, sweet-toned ballads
enthralling cohort of lovers,
swaying to peppy numbers
in an unmatched elan.
I tend to dwindle my
heart-breaks, achings, fears…
only entitling my dyad of ears,
soothing my melancholy and
enlivening deep down emotions alive.

Evermore
Swapnajyoti Bordoloi

The sun and the stars
Have no homes...
Although afar,
Living through our eyes,
Both inside
And outside the vastness
Of our lives,
Silently forever playing
In the deepest rivers
Of our invisible soul,
Always definite from our
First breath
To our last…

Be so much in your heart
If ever in life,
Love calls!
